18, 19, 20, and 21 Weeks
June was a little hectic around here! We’ve been sick with various illnesses, had Tristan’s first birthday party, and traveled in Indy for a long weekend. We’ve at least been taking the pictures each week so they are still on time.
Speaking of pictures, at 19 weeks 1 day we found out we’re having a girl! Here is a picture from the ultrasound.
She kept putting her hand to her mouth and playing with her feet. We even saw her yawn once. Everything went fine with the scan. The Kelli was having some trouble getting pictures of her heart and she wasn’t saying anything for a long while. We both started to get nervous! But everything was fine, she was just concentrating on the pictures.
A little after 18 weeks I had my first Braxton-Hicks. Yay. I have them here and there, especially when I wake up lying on my back.
Most days I still feel pretty good. I don’t notice that my belly is getting bigger and I’m able to do things like normal. Since hitting 21 weeks though, I’ve had a rough time. I went to The Galleria mall last week and the air conditioning was not working. It was hot! Plus I was carrying around a heavy bag of clothes from Gymboree (sale – yay!) and a blackout curtain for baby girl’s room. The next day I woke up really sore in the front. I think I might have had B-H throughout the night coupled with soreness from carrying heavier bags. We drove to Indiana that day and I was uncomfortable.
Fast forward a few days and Tristan had a rough night sleeping in the pack-n-play. I picked him up out of it and I must have pulled every single muscle in my middle back because I woke up to more pain the next day. Pain as in it hurts to move, breathe, sit, lie, turn around, and stay alive. Andy drove us home and luckily lots and lots of ice and heat and Tylenol did the trick. I was able to lie down comfortably enough to fall asleep. I woke up this morning feeling much better, though not 100%. I really need to be careful with how I’m lifting Tristan and I will try to limit my activity as much as possible.
I will take the 22 week picture tomorrow because no one wants to see me with no make-up and naturally dried hair wearing gray cargo carpris and a pink and orange tie dye shirt. So here are the pictures from the past four weeks!
18 weeks – Gray shirt from The Gap, shrug that I’ve had for years, and regular size dress pants worn with the belly band.
19 weeks – Regular size shirt from the Limited and black maternity pants from The Gap. Andy said I need to switch up my clothes because I already wore this shirt recently for a picture!
20 weeks – Motherhood maternity shirt that I had from last year and the same black pants.
21 weeks – A shirt I got from babysteals and a black Gap maternity skirt I had from last year.
